Thanks to the Hedefines on Quadra Island for using their roofing trucks on Earth Day to help clean up the beach. Look at these giant pieces of styrofoam that got hauled away! Imagine if all that had been left there to turn into tiny little pieces in the ocean, and swallowed up by sealife! Where did this styrofoam come from?

This is Diamond Jordys garbage collection from a beach in Union Bay. 

It took him two and a half hours to collect.

It appears 90% of it likely came from the local aquaculture industry!!
